It's April already and we are just days away from baby's due date! I've been weirdly very calm about it, whereas with Riley and Brynn I think I had the hospital bag packed weeks in advance! haha! I just finished packing most of the hospital bag and thought I'd share what's in it! So technically it's 2 bags - one for me and one for the baby! This time I simplified, taking only the necessities and not packing up the whole house! hah! I love seeing what people pack in their bags and I asked on Instagram awhile back what were the top items people packed and there were so many great suggestions! From flip flops to my own pillow (which I never even thought to bring before!), the suggestions were fantastic! It's nice to pack more minimally because it is way easier to 1) carry the bag (or rather Scott will be lugging the bags ha!) and 2) so much easier to find things when you aren't digging through a million and one items! This is especially true when you ask your husband to find something and they "look" but can't see past the first 3 items haha!

Baby's Bag:

The baby's bag (diaper bag) is Lily Jade bag which I got a couple years ago and love it! It's an investment (aka not cheap, but totally worth it!), and has been the perfect bag for travel, can be worn as a backpack, and is durable. It has an insert which you can see in the picture, that contains so many compartments and pockets which is great for organizing! It also came with a changing pad which is handy, and both the insert and changing pad are machine washable and easy to wipe down as well! (this isn't sponsored at all, just really love this bag lol!)

-Diapers, wipes (just a few)

-sleeper

-going home outfit

-Mama Patcha nipple cream and Lanolin (for this you can never be too prepared!)

-Baby Bum cream

-Swaddle blanket (Aden + Anais - love how soft these are and breathable)

-Wub-a-Nub soother

-blanket (from when I was a baby! a little sentimental piece)

-little bunny (the Jelly Cat ones are just adorable!)

My Bag:

-flip flops (probably one of the most recommended items!)

-comfy, loose clothes

-nursing tank/bra

-toiletries (toothbrush, toothpaste, brush, dry shampoo, deoderant etc.)

-nursing pillow

-pads

-nursing pads

-phone charger

-bath robe

-S’Well water bottle

-my pillow (I use a PEMF pillow which I'll link here and has seriously changed my sleep game! It uses pulsed electro magnetic field therapy and you can read more about how it works or just send me a msg!)

39 Week Update

I can’t believe we are almost at baby’s due date! I thought baby might come early because Brynn was a bit early, but this little one seems quite cozy and content! Baby is doing well, and I'm thankful for a smooth pregnancy! I’m definitely moving slower these days and my toes seem miles away ha! I had an amazing pre-natal massage at Tenspa for my birthday last week and it was the best! The prenatal pillow was insanely comfortable and I forgot what it was like to be able to lay on my tummy! If you get the chance to have a pre-natal massage , I'd definitely recommend it! Also, a pedicure is so nice to have right at the end of pregnancy because it is impossible to reach your toes!

We have finally narrowed down some names, we have 2 girls names we can't decide between, and we kept the boys name we had decided on if Brynn had been a boy - so now we wait and see if it’s a girl or a boy!!

Something else I find helpful in preparing for the baby is having some meals prepped in the freezer! This just makes those first few weeks more manageable because it seems baby always wants to either eat or be held right when it's in that dinnertime window.

For mom's out there - what was the adjustment like going from 2-3 kids?

I'm a bit nervous to be officially outnumbered!

Until next time! (and maybe the next post will be a little birth announcement!!)

xo,

Lindsay
