Well this pregnancy is flying by. I think I said that in my last post too, but seriously I can’t get over it! As I'm writing this baby is kicking up a storm! I may have mentioned this before but I was a bit worried because I didn't feel movement for a long time with this pregnancy and they say you will feel it earlier with each pregnancy. Just goes to show you what they "say" (who is they anyway? haha!) is not always the case. Now that this baby is super active, it's fun to watch the kids feel the baby kick! We had our 20 week ultrasound last month and everything went well which was a blessing. It's amazing to see that little one and the miracle they are!

I’ve been feeling great lately and have had so much more energy (most days) than the first trimester. My two year old does wear me out by the end of the day but thats the phase we are in! Brynn asked for the baby to come out last week which was so cute. Although, when I asked the kids what they will do with the baby once he/she is here Riley said he will bath, feed and play with the baby and Brynn said she will wrestle with baby. Not exactly the response I was expecting. I’m a little nervous about her. haha!

Food

I have been having smoothies almost daily filled with hemp hearts, ground flaxseed, chia seeds and spinach with either some pineapple, banana or strawberries. This has helped with my digestion “issues” (if you catch my drift). Sorry if it’s TMI but it’s a problem! Hormones do crazy things! I feel like this is something no one warns you about so I'm here to tell you everything haha! I still am loving spicy food and adding hot sauce to almost everything. I had this with Riley as well and it’s so interesting to see similarities! I do love sweets as well but they often make me nauseous so that’s helped me to stay away from too many sweets. Other than that, I don't have any real cravings at the moment.

Exercise

When I was pregnant with Brynn, I was nauseous throughout my whole pregnancy and just didn’t feel great so I didn’t exercise a ton. This time I have stuck to 3 days a week and it just helps me sleep better at night and help with the digestion issues I mentioned before. I have started experiencing a bit of pain in one hip/glute so stretching, massage and chiropractic has been amazing for it. Has anyone else experienced this? I hear it is quite common due to all the relaxin hormone flowing around.

Second Trimester Products I'm Loving

I've linked some of the products I've been loving throughout the second trimester.

I've mentioned this many times before but I just love the Tiber River Great Expectations body butter. It's the most hydrating lotion ever!

I'm also loving these pajama/lounge bottoms. They are so soft and lightweight and I love how the bottoms are tapered.

This sweater from GAP Maternity is cozy and fleecy inside - perfect for this chilly weather.

I'm so thankful for sisters-in-law who can share maternity clothes! I haven't been this pregnant in winter before so it's nice having more options for the colder months.

This jacket extender is a must if you are pregnant in winter! It allows your jacket to expand without you having to buy a new winter coat.

Have a great weekend!!

"Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow." James 1:17
