I know I say this every month but seriously where did my baby go?! Hallie has grown up so much this past month! She now has 3 teeth (almost 5 but those front incisors are taking their sweet time popping through!) She is not much of a drooler, but she gets awful bum rashes when teething and the only thing that has worked is a thick layer of Sudocrem. Each child teethes so differently. I remember Riley would soak through bibs and shirts with drool and could pretty much wash the floors with the amount of drool! ha!

Food

Hallie has such a great appetite and generally eats whatever we are eating, just cut up smaller. For breakfast she has been loving banana pancakes (thanks Kayla for the recipe!) It's so simple and to make and modify if you want to add some avocado or spinach or cinnamon/spices!

Banana Pancake

1 banana mashed

1 egg

Whisk together and put in pan with coconut oil over med-low heat. Flip pancake when it starts to bubble (about 2 mins). Enjoy!

Riley has even been asking for these everyday so I usually double the recipe for him and Hallie and add half an avocado in it as well as some cinnamon!

Some other foods Hallie has been loving are blueberries, cucumber, cheese (what child doesn't have an obsession with cheese?!), chicken, sausage, noodles, sweet potato, beets and peanut butter. This girl has like a sixth sense for peanut butter! The kids love to have some on a spoon or dip their apple in it and Hallie will crawl super fast to wherever they are eating it and stand while grabbing onto their legs, reaching for the peanut butter. It is hilarious! The kids are so sweet and give her licks of the peanut butter and she is literally like a little puppy begging for more! haha!

Some new foods that she has tried this past month are pickerel, blackberries and salmon.

Sleep

Hallie has been waking once a night usually around 2am. She goes back to sleep really easily which is great. She goes to bed at 7pm and wakes up between 6-7. There were a few morning where she was up at 5:30 and it was waaaay too early ha! She still has a morning nap around 9:30am for an hour and an afternoon nap at 1pm. We have been skipping the morning nap if we are out in the mornings and she has been totally fine so I'm hoping we can drop it soon!

Hallie loves bath time, and it is so fun to watch her and her sister play together! Brynn is always great at ensuring Hallie has a ton of toys around her. She has become a lot gentler when it comes to giving Hallie hugs and picking her up. Hallie will follow Riley and Brynn around, and is quick to grab whatever they are playing with. Since it is still winter, we have to bundle miss Hallie up to go outside and she looks adorable in her snowsuit! She crawls around in the snow and is constantly on the the go! We took her behind the snowmobile in the snow coach (a little enclosed sleigh) and she fell asleep on Grandma's lap! Hallie also came ice fishing with us one afternoon but she was bored pretty quickly (who would've thought hehe! ;) ) and wanted to crawl around and play.

Hallie always makes sure I'm within sight, and will cry when I leave the room or leave her with a babysitter. It is heartbreaking, but she doesn't cry for long so I know it's just the initial leaving her that is upsetting. She is honestly so happy and such a joy. Her smiles and scrunchy faces are the best! She is now copying what we do and waves bye, says mama and dada along with a lot of other babbling noises, claps her hands and wiggles to music! She looooves music and at church she will light up, kick her legs and clap when the music is playing! We have also starting some baby sign language with her. It's really basic and we just sign for please, more, thank-you and milk. So far she has caught on to milk! Did you teach your little one baby sign language?

I've started planning her first birthday and still can't believe she will be ONE so soon! I'm curious if she will start walking around her first birthday like Riley and Brynn or wait awhile. To be honest I'm totally ok if she wants to take her time learning to walk! Just stay little for a bit longer please! ha!

Hope you all have a great week!

Lindsay
