Happy New Year friends!

Hallie is almost in double digits which blows my mind! She had her first Christmas, although napped/slept through most of the get togethers. She went on the toboggan, snowmobile (suuuuper slow don't worry hehe!), took in her first Christmas eve service, saw loads of Christmas lights and unwrapped her first present! She loved the wrapping paper as most babies do and that kept her occupied for quite awhile. She definitely found the Christmas tree and we strategically placed ornaments so she couldn't reach them. We went to Grand Forks for a few days and hit up the water park there and Hallie LOVED the water! We took her in the kiddie pool area and down the slide and she could not get enough! This is complete opposite from Riley when he was a baby as he would cry big crocodile tears whenever we would attempt to take him in the water with us haha!

Food

This girl loves food and has tried so many different foods I couldn't possibly name them all, but her favourites so far are sweet potato, spinach and mango, berries, chicken, banana, peas and carrots. She is starting to really grasp holding her food and feeding herself, but still prefers purees as to little pieces of food. She eats 3 times a day with 3-4 bottles a day.

Sleep

Over the Christmas season we were barely home and I was a bit worried how she would do going to sleep at other places but she did great! Then she got SICK which changed everything! She was getting up a few times a night and coughing so much at night so in those cases you just have to put sleep training on hold and go with the flow. Now she has been up once a night which is so much better! She is also getting a couple more teeth so hopefully they pop through soon! There's always something am I right?!

Clingy

She has had some clingy moments this past month and if I move a few steps away from her she will crawl quickly to my feet and hold onto my legs. It's really sweet that she knows her mama, but it has been a bit harder to get things done when she wants to be held more. The baby carrier has come in handy this month and she loves to go for walks, watching the snow and Riley and Brynn tackle one another into the snowbanks!
