Hallie just turned 8 months old! This past month she hit some big milestones and I came to terms that she really isn't a little baby anymore! It's always emotional when you are packing up the clothes that don't fit and it hits you that they will just keep growing. It all just happens too quickly, but I'm trying to soak it all up because the first year they change so incredibly much!

This past month she started army crawling, which quickly escalated to full on crawling. She loves to have the freedom to crawl and explore. The kids always make sure she has toys around her. She is attracted to the bookcase and has ripped apart a couple books and tried to eat them. Everything goes in her mouth! She has also been pulling herself up to standing! AHHH! I was NOT ready for this at all! Honestly I thought she would be a lazier baby and just watch her siblings play, (which I would totally be ok with ha!) but this isn't the case. She just wants to keep up with them!

She has been doing great with all types of food. We have been doing a mix of purees and giving her tiny bites of whatever we are eating. So far she has liked beets, sweet potato, eggs, farmer sausage, banana, squash, berries, chicken and peanut butter. I will often make a smoothie in the morning and thicken hers with a bit of the Love Child Organics Oats & Chia cereal. I put spinach, pineapple, berries and hemp hearts in the smoothie and she loves it! Hallie had her first taste of formula this past month and she drank it without any problems. I'm finding my milk supply is decreasing so this is nice to have on hand if we go out as I can't get a lot of milk from pumping anymore.

She has 2 bottom teeth now. The first one just popped in and she showed no signs of teething prior to it coming in. The second one she had more rosy cheeks and wanted everything in her mouth. She also caught a really bad cold and was very congested. It lasted a couple weeks and she's finally feeling better. During that time her nighttime sleeping was off and she was waking up 2-3 times during the night. We had to re-sleep train her and it took 5 days to get her back on track. I waited to sleep train until she was feeling better as her poor cough kept waking her up at night. We used the Sleep Wave method from The Happy Sleeper (I know I mention this book A LOT! haha!). I had a lot of questions about it from Instagram and if you have any questions feel free to send me a message! I'm by no means an expert but it's great hearing what's worked from people!

She naps twice a day with an hour morning nap, 1.5-2 hour afternoon nap and sometimes a short nap in the late afternoon.

So far her hair is darker than Riley and Brynn's so I'm curious to see if she will be a brunette! She has very blue eyes like her siblings, and cute little dimples when she smiles! It's so easy to make her smile and she absolutely loves it when you talk to her. She has been making a lot of new sounds lately, mostly growling and saying dadada. She blows a lot of spit bubbles and makes fart noises a lot which the kids think is hilarious! She is such a joy and easy going baby and we love her to pieces! When Riley comes home from school he always gives her a big hug and tells her he missed her. It's super sweet to see affection between them.
