Hallie turned 7 months last week! She is so so sweet, and we just want to squeeze her all the time. It is so easy to make her smile, and she just soaks up all the attention. Riley and Brynn still like to hold her, but she is quite squirmy so their cuddle session only lasts a few seconds before she wants to move!

Milestones
She just started sitting up by herself and I think it's the cutest thing! She has been sitting in the bath and loves the freedom to reach for toys, kick her little feet and splash. She had her first bath with her sister and it's so sweet to see them playing in the tub, Brynn handing Hallie all the toys and Hallie just wanting to try and eat them all. haha!
She is now on the move and army crawls all over the floor! I feel like she inspects every inch of the floor and if she finds the tiniest crumb she picks it up and goes straight to her mouth. She has also discovered the dishwasher (a kid magnet lol!) and if it's open she heads straight there! It's so fun watching her move and explore everything and every day she becomes quicker.
Hallie went trick or treating for the first time (or rather got dragged along by her brother and sis ha!) and she was a bumblebee! It's so fun going out as a family and dressing up with them!
Food
We have been introducing a new food every couple days and so far she has eaten everything. She loves banana, pumpkin, squash, sweet potato and berries. She's not the hugest fan of avocado and makes a face when we give it to her that says "GROSS". haha! Since it has been squash season, we have been roasting and pureeing it for her and she loves it! She is still breastfeeding every 3-3.5 hours. She does take a bottle, unlike my other two kids, and it is so nice to be able to have that option in case I'm out with one of the other kids or Scott and I go out.
She still doesn't have any teeth, but her two bottom ones are definitely starting to come up.
She was sick for the first time this month with a cold and it was so sweet to have her cuddle up to me. It lasted a couple days, and she wouldn't sleep anywhere except on me. We diffused Easy Air (doterra) essential oil in her room and she slept so much better when we had the diffuser going!
Toys
I remember thinking when I had my first baby, what is all the hype about this Sophie the Giraffe? Well, let me tell you this giraffe is so well loved by all my kids that it's spots are wearing off. We thought we lost it this month and after 2 days of hunting for it we were ready to buy another one, but Brynn found it (she is great at hiding things and forgetting where she puts them haha!). Hallie chews on this giraffe all the time! Since she is on the move, she isn't as interested in her exersaucer. She will go in it for shorter periods. We have some books that make "crinkle" sounds that she loves and she is so content playing with containers or cups! I purged a lot of baby toys and I'm so glad that I did because you really don't need a lot to entertain a baby!
Sleep
When Hallie got sick, it threw off her sleep for a week and she was getting up 2-3 times at night. Her cold lasted a week and as soon as she was feeling better, her sleep improved! Normally she is up at 4 am, but sometimes sleeps through until 6am. She is still napping 3 times a day, but we are slowly cutting back the 4:30pm late afternoon nap as she isn't falling asleep as quickly at night. We followed The Happy Sleep method to sleep train her and you can read about it in this post here. She now uses a sleep sack with arm holes (see third pic below). This may sound funny but for the longest time she wouldn't fall asleep unless her arms were in a swaddle or contained (like the woombie swaddle), but now she is totally fine with them being out. It is nice because she will grab her lovey bunny blanket or soother in her crib to soothe her to sleep. When she wakes up in the morning she is usually on the opposite side of the crib and backwards!
At 6.5 months Hallie weighed in at 16.2 pounds and 25.8 inches long.
Happy 7 months Hallie Mabel!
