6 months came and I didn't even realize it! Hallie is half a year old which is hard to believe! It feels like it's been 6 weeks in some ways as I remember her being born like it was yesterday! She is not a little baby anymore, which is a bit sad. But as each new stage arises it's so exciting to see her change, grow, become more aware of her surroundings and interact with us! She is so smiley, very ticklish and her new sounds include birdlike calls, singing and blowing bubbles which will shower you in drool haha!

Toys

Hallie is officially past the "playmat" stage and rolls off of it in about .01 seconds! We have been using the Jolly Jumper and it has been a bit hit! Hallie will jump around and it gives her some freedom to see what's going on all around her. She also loves the exersaucer and grabbing at the toys around it. When she's on the floor she instantly rolls onto her tummy. She gets on all fours and rocks back and forth so I'm sure we will have a crawler very soon! She pushes herself backwards and makes herself across the room.

Hallie is so loved by her brother and sister. The novelty of holding her and kissing her still hasn't worn off which is great! When they hear her wake up from a nap they will rush upstairs to see her and before bed they kiss her and squeeze her. Brynn loves to climb into her crib and snuggle her when she wakes up and it's adorable!

Food

Hallie has begun eating some solids! We started with just a taste of the Love Child Organics Oats + Chia cereal. This one is great because there isn't any sugar in it, unlike a lot of other ones out there. We began with just a teaspoon or so of it and then gradually added a bit more each day. She has also tried banana and avocado. It is so fun having her sit in her highchair with us at the table and she smiles and babbles as if she is a part of our conversations! Riley and Brynn both fight over who gets to feed her some food, so I'm sure Hallie will not go hungry anytime soon! She is still nursing every 2-3 hours during the day, although teething has begun to make that difficult (all you moms out there know what I'm talking about haha!)

Sleep

She went through a bit of a sleep regression which I talked more about here, but since then has been sleeping a lot better! She goes to bed between 6:30-7 and sleep until 4 or 5, has a quick feed and then goes back to sleep until 8ish. She now has 3 naps a day, the first one is a longer morning nap, then a 2 hour afternoon nap, and then a shorter one in the evening which she sometimes skips if it is getting too close to bedtime.

Up until this month she has strongly disliked her carseat and would rarely fall asleep in it, making travelling a bit more difficult. This past month that has completely changed and she has actually been falling asleep while we drive! Who knows, maybe she gets bored of Brynn talking her ear off and that puts her to sleep!

Hallie was dedicated at the church we attend, Riverwood, a couple weeks ago and it was really special to have our family there and support us! We want to strive to always be working on our marriage and make faith a priority in our home, and it is so great to have the support of others alongside us!

Lindsay
