Hey!
Just thought I'd pop on here as I felt the need to write and connect! Sometimes being at home with kids can get a bit mundane... the changing diapers, naptime routine, making meals etc. and it feels good to connect with other moms, people, family and friends!
Anyways, I actually was going to give a little update on Hallie's sleep schedule and the changes we have been going through with her. She unfortunately got a very bad cold, and thus changed her nightly sleep routine. I know up until this point we have been really blessed with a great sleeper and I mentioned before in this post here how we read The Happy Sleeper and really worked on sleep training from the beginning! This made a HUGE difference in the quality and quantity of sleep we were getting! Well this cold, along with a growth spurt (thank you Wonder Weeks app for these developmental leap updates!) her sleep suddenly changed. She was waking up 2 times a night, sometimes more depending on how stuffed up her poor little nose was. Thankfully she is on the mend, and is now sleeping better at night. At first I was quick to nurse her in order to get her back to sleep, but now I wait to see if she goes back to sleep on her own, which she has done quite a few times! If she is still awake, then I pop her soother back in and her lovey bunny. If this doesn't work, then I will hold her and give her some cuddles, and lastly is nurse her if she is still unsettled. I know this is a season where sickness and colds can come up and this along with sleep deprivation can send us into a downward spiral! Hang in there moms and know you aren't alone! Treat yo self to an extra coffee or tea ;).

I will be starting a Monday Mom's blog post where I hope to give you some encouragement for the week ahead! If you'd like to receive it in your inbox, then just pop your email address below! Stay tuned for an extra special post this coming Monday!

This song brought so much joy this past week and my kids sing along to it which is extra sweet : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqybaIesbuA
