Brynn is 2 and a Half!

My sweet little, energetic girl is growing up waaay too fast! She talks SO much now, often repeating things we say, and has a big personality. She can’t wait to go to preschool next year and asks if she can go already when we drop Riley off. We also had to get her all 3T clothes and even the pants are close to being a bit short! Anyone else's girl have crazy growth spurts around 2 and a half?!

Personality

She is very independent and wants to do everything herself. “I do it myself mommy” is one of her favourite things to say. Ha! She is goofy and loves to make many silly faces. She can be very dramatic, acting like the world is going to end if her brother looks at her the wrong way. She also loves to dance! We aren't sure where she got her dance moves from, but she does this bum wiggle and says "shake it!". Her song requests these days are, "Can't Stop the Feeling", "Forever Country" and "My Lighthouse". And if you give her a microphone - well you won't be getting it back because she loves to sing into it!

Interests

Brynn has a serious love for animals. Our neighbours have a horse ranch, and she has gone riding and loved it! She runs over to say "hi" to them when she is outside and I have to stop her from climbing into their pens! haha! She still talks about the animal garden we went to in Aruba back in January. I have a feeling there will be many trips to the zoo this spring and summer!

She also likes to colour, although not for very long. Her favourite toys are her baby doll and stuffed animals, and making food at her play kitchen. Whenever we leave the house we usually have 2-3 stuffed animals that come along. She also sleeps with every stuffed animal possible, but the must-haves are her elephant, bunny and llama!

She likes to look at books, usually it's the same 3 over and over again and she can finish the sentences when I read them to her, and pretty much has them memorized!

Food

We don't know where Brynn puts all the food she eats because she often can eat more than Riley! She has a great appetite and will generally eat whatever we are eating. Her favourite foods are yoghurt, oatmeal, strawberries, blueberries, veggies and hummus, cheese and pizza.

Some Firsts

I think the biggest "first" and milestone for Brynn recently was moving to a big girl bed! She is on the bottom bunk, although asks if she can sleep on the top often. haha! She transitioned really easily to the bed.

She also went to Disney on Ice last week and had the best time! Who's kid doesn't love Frozen am I right?! She danced to the songs and was so captivated by it.

She will become a big sister in the next few weeks and I can't wait to see how she acts with the new baby! She kisses my tummy and prays for baby before bed which is so sweet.

Some Cute Things She Says

"I can't hairy it" = I can't hear it

"I call you when I done, okaaaaaay?" = I'll call you when I'm done going to the washroom

"Tank you so much"

"So anyways"

"Mommy come back?" = everytime I am going somewhere she always has to make sure I'm coming back.

"I Bwynnie" = I'm Brynnie

"Dear Jesus, Thank you...Amen!"

And she is now asking where is daddy (and every person in our extended family), and why constantly!
