Hey friends!
So I meant to post this earlier but some things just don't go as planned am I right? Riley got a pretty nasty flu bug on our way home last week from Aruba and it lasted 4 days. It was actually kind of nice to be housebound because we started potty training Brynn during this time and we are onto day 5 with her in big girl undies! I'll do a post about this later as we, or rather she, is still getting the hang of it!
This was our last little getaway before the baby arrives, and it was great to spend a lot of quality time with the kids. They loved getting all of our attention, as well as being with my family and getting their attention as well! The sun and swimming wore them out so by bedtime they were ready to crash (and so were we! hah!) If you are travelling and need a few ideas for activities/snacks and some things to bring along I wrote a Travelling Tips for Kids blog post you can find here!

Riley had some really exciting highlights to the trip! He learned to swim without water wings and was able to go the length of the pool (don't worry we were right beside him ;) ). He also went kite surfing with my youngest brother and held onto his legs while my brother ripped back and forth on the water. He even did a few small jumps with Riley on the board with him and all you could hear was "jump higher Uncle Lyle!". I think my brother saw my look of horror and decided not to jump any higher haha!

Brynn loved swimming in the ocean - we would literally have to convince her to come out and take a break! She also enjoyed going to see the "aminals" at Philips Animal Garden. They gave each of us a bag of food to feed the animals and she had no problem going up to all of the animals to feed them! We had to watch out for her little fingers so they wouldn't be munched up with the carrots! The kids also loved getting gelato, which we did quite frequently and I didn't complain one bit! hah!

We feel so incredibly blessed to have spent some time away with family, making memories and building relationships.
I'm so excited to see what more 2018 has in store!
xo,
Lindsay
