"O Come Let Us Adore Him, Christ the Lord"

This Christmas marks our last one as a family of 4! This year the kids totally got into the Christmas spirit and loved helping decorate, bake, set up the tree and wrap a few gifts. We counted down to Christmas with an advent calendar as well as a chocolate advent calendar, which I completely messed up the days and got a day ahead of ourselves haha! Each year I always feel I can never take enough photos as the time goes by so quickly! It's so fun to document and have the memories to look back on, but also new memories to make each year! Here's a little look into Christmas this year for the Kannwischers.

This year Scott unexpectedly had to work Christmas eve day so the kids and I headed off to church in the morning. Unexpected seemed to be the theme this Christmas as I got hit with an awful flu. Pregnancy and sickness don't seem to mix well as it's taken longer to recover this time around.

Since I was feeling under the weather Christmas eve so we took it easy after church and watched a movie while getting things ready for a family gathering that evening. Thankfully Scott made it home in time for the gathering and I didn’t have to bundle the kids up and take them out in -30 by myself haha! #winterpeg am I right??!

Christmas morning we opened stockings and then convinced the kids to eat breakfast before continuing to open gifts. Riley had made us a gift in preschool and couldn't wait for us to open it! He made us open it first before anything else with our eyes closed in suspense. It was the cutest ornament and his face beamed as he gave it to us!

Then we headed to the cabin for a couple days to have Christmas with family. It was so nice to be out there and we immediately felt relaxed and had fun playing games and the kids tested out their new toboggan in the freezing temperatures.

The only family picture we took!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!!

Lindsay
