Christmas Tree Tradition!

Every year (well 4 now!) we go and pick out a real tree! They have a tractor sleigh ride which the kids are so stoked for! Riley didn’t even nap because he was so excited for the tractor ride and he was the first one ready to go by the door today! (Seriously leaving the house and bundling up the kids can take a good half hour some days haha!) There’s hot chocolate and you can get food but we always bring some snacks along. The kids get little candy canes which were devoured in minutes! It was Brynn’s first candy cane and to say she loved it is an understatement. She danced around to the Christmas music and may have helped herself to the hot chocolate!

This year we didn’t have room for a huge tree so we got a smaller one. Riley wanted a big one but we didn't feel like pulling a Griswold family Christmas ;). I just love the smell of a real tree and the memories we make each year going to get one! It will be so fun going next year as a family of 5! After we get home and get the tree settled in, we have a "picnic" while watching a Christmas movie! It's a great start to the Christmas season!

What are some of your Christmas traditions? Are you a real tree person or fake? I totally understand how going with a fake tree is so much easier and less mess. I grew up with a fake tree, but now that we've started this tradition I just love it and the smell of it is SO nice! I can't wait to decorate it tomorrow!
