I can't believe my baby is 4! Seriously, these past 4 years have flown by and all of a sudden I have a not-so-little boy! It is such a blessing being a mom to this boy and watching him become his own little person, finding out what interests him, watching him be a big brother and having conversations with him.

I asked him what he would like for his birthday and he asked for his family and friends to be a part of it, as well as a paw patrol lookout cake. Now while I didn't make a paw patrol lookout cake (just google it and you'll see what a daunting task it looked like haha!), we did have an amazing time with friends and family!

We had his family birthday at the lake and spent the day at the beach, swimming and boating. Riley loves ribs and my dad makes amazing BBQ ribs so that was on the menu. Riley also requested mac and cheese (we like the Annie's gluten free one!). We had a ton of other great food and finished off with some cake and ice cream! Seeing him happy just makes my heart so full of joy! When he saw the cake he said "wow mommy you made this for me?! Thank you so much!"  He is full of these cute comments that just make my heart swell.

It's so cute to see relationships with friends forming and Riley actually gave me a list of friends he wanted to invite! I opted for a morning birthday party as he still naps in the afternoon and it worked really well! We had brunch with some "paw-fect bacon, fruit kibble, pup pancakes, and finished off with pup-cakes"! We did a scavenger hunt where different paw patrol characters were hiding on trees and they had to go find them. Riley asked for a piñata, and we found a paw patrol one at bulk barn! He had such a fun morning with his friends and it was so nice to have the rest of the day to celebrate with just our family!

To my sweet boy:

I am so proud to be your mommy. You're loving nature, kind-heart are such an example already. I love the questions you ask and how your faith is blossoming. I pray this year is the best one yet and we can make so many new memories!

Xo,

Mommy
