July Favourites!

Hey friends!

This month I thought I'd share a few monthly favourites that I've been loving! Trying new products is so much fun and I always enjoy reading about different items and their reviews first before testing them out. I'll include some kid-friendly products, beauty, books, food... pretty much anything I'm loving!

The first thing I'm loving especially for summer are reuseable snack bags. These have been great for car rides or at the beach and can be wiped out super easily and if needed you can throw them into the washing machine! They have multiple sizes, as well as wet bags for dirty clothes, wet swimsuits etc. If you need a gift for a baby shower or new baby these are a winner!

The second thing I've loved for the kids is the Green beaver sunscreen. (if anyone saw my Insta stories and how my son decided to bathe and squeeze this suscreen all out onto the deck and then trek is inside the house .. you can follow me at @lindsaykann to see our everyday moments haha) It rubs in a lot easier than other natural sunscreens and is scentless.

This one is random but I love this cute glass bottle with the striped straw! It makes drinking water so much more fun! (My husband totally makes fun of me for this!) We are trying to switch to glass containers and water bottles and I found this at dollar tree and it's perfect!

When I saw this dress I fell in love! It's so light and airy (I can eat all the ice cream while wearing it Haha!) and fun to wear! Definitely a favourite that I'll be wearing ALL summer long! I've been sticking to the rule if I don't love it, I won't buy. I love the idea of a capsule wardrobe so I'm thinking in fall I'll try and do that!

This next favourite is a makeup product I just started using end of June. It's the Soft Ochre MAC paint pot and it looks amazing on its own and just evens your eyelids out so you don't look tired (like me haha!) It is also a great base for eyeshadow to adhere to and you can go all day without worrying about it smudging. I'm not a makeup expert or pro by any means, but I found this to be a quick and easy product to use if I need to "wake up" my eyes! If I'm home with the kids or just need to do a quick eye makeup look I will just swipe on a layer of Soft Ochre onto my eyes with a bit of mascara and then I'm done!

I always think I'm going to read a ton of books throughout the summer, and while that used to be the case prior to kids, it is a lot more difficult now! This next favourite is a book I was recommended, My Secret Sister, and I couldn't put it down once I started! It was an amazing non-fictional story of two sisters who were separated at birth. It followed their lives and how one was horribly mistreated while the other one was loved by her adoptive parents. It tugs at your heartstrings so have a box of kleenex close by. I don't want to give too much away but it definitely is a must read!

Another favourite is the book Chase by Jennie Allen which is a Bible Study that some women from our church are doing right now and it's seriously life-changing! Now technically I'm not done the study yet but having done one of her studies before (Stuck) I just had to include it in my favourites. It focuses on the life of David and chasing after Gods heart. Each week we have to complete the study and some projects which really help you dig deeper and challenge you, and then there is a DVD and discussion portion. If you're looking for a Bible study I highly recommend any of her studies!!
